Kodak Film Demo

At some point in planning a production, the independent filmmaker must decide whether to shoot film or video. Certainly, either has its advantages, but it's important to be informed on all the choices out there.

Recently, Kodak and Philrose worked together to demonstrate that Super 8 Vision II stock is a viable alternative to shooting video.

Super 8 has long been seen as a consumer format, with little professional application. However, the clarity of the new Vision II Super 8 is quite surprising. Combine that with the digital intermediate process, and you have an attractive (not to mention inexpensive) alternative to digital acquisition.

Below are some sample clips from a recent shoot.
